Since moving here from Afghanistan several months ago, Shafiq has settled into the Toronto landscape, and I can say with certainty that Canada is lucky to have a very talented new metalsmith. Shafiq was one of the artisans who worked on my collection with Far+Wide Collective in Kabul; he reently left his thriving jewelry workshop there to start a new life in Canada.
