HOW HAVE YOUR CHILDREN INFLUENCED YOU AS A PERSON?
"My children have made everything new again. Life is brighter because I’m seeing the world through their amazed eyes. I’m more present and life has slowed down (in the best way). I have stronger boundaries because my time is way more important now that I’m sharing it with my boys."

ARE THERE HABITS THAT YOUR MOM DID AS A KID THAT YOU’RE NOW DOING?
"My mom was our biggest champion. She was always the first to jump on board whenever we were interested in something and help us explore a new path. I think that is something I can tell I’m doing with my boys – whatever they are interested in – let’s learn about it, immerse ourselves in it, and explore that interest as long as they are excited about it."

In what ways do you think you are like your mother?
"We’re both very much busy bees! I think I’ve learned so much of her work ethic and her drive to do so much for family, friends and rarely things for herself. Although over the years, we’ve both learned that self-care is something that is important for us to keep up our pace.
I also admire her huge giving heart and have tried to follow her example. "

How has your child influenced you as a person?
"Miles has taught me to be less of a planner! He’s the boss sometimes and I’ve learned to accept that! Some days don’t always work out as planned but I’m totally fine with that. I love that he’s made me love the unexpected and ordinary days together."

How have your children influenced you as a person?
"I’ve recently realized that my daughter has been my teacher, and my son is now my healer. They have both influenced me in more ways than I could ever have imagined. Mainly, they inspire me to do the work it takes to become a better version of myself every single day. They have taught me the value of a simple life, and shown me how little we really need to live in true happiness."

In what ways do you think you are like your mother?
"My mom and I are pretty much best friends. When I look at old photographs of her growing up, or read letters she wrote, I feel like she could have been my sister. She is the most nurturing person I’ve ever known, and I hope to emulate that in my own life. I strive every day to be half the woman she is in the world."
Are there habits that your mom did as a kid that you’re now doing?
